The Dallas Winds is a professional per service wind ensemble whose members are expected to perform to the highest standards with limited rehearsal time.

- Exceptional proficiency on alto and soprano saxophone in all styles of music.
- Leadership and communication with the section and Dallas Winds staff
- Networking with the local saxophone community to maintain a quality substitute player list.
