WINDNOTES WITH PROFESSOR CAROL
Part history lesson, part impassioned sermon, Windnotes with Professor Carol is definitely not your typical dry pre-concert lecture. Professor Carol Reynolds, renowned music historian and one-woman encyclopedia of musicology, will add to your experience with historical tidbits, music theory, and juicy behind-the-scenes dirt on that evening’s featured pieces and composers. She might even bring homemade cupcakes.
SING IT PROUD!
You won’t hear any trend-chasing, bubblegum-ballpark interpretations of our national anthem here. We begin every concert with The Star-Spangled Banner the way it was meant to be played: A rousing, rip-roaring sing-along with the greatest band in the good ol’ U-S-of-A.
YOUR BANDMASTER OF CEREMONIES
His business card says “Jerry Junkin, Artistic Director.” But he’s more like a tour guide, comedian, ringmaster, and tent-revival preacher wrapped up in the trim black jacket of the country’s greatest wind band conductor. Maestro Junkin will be your host for an evening of fantastic music that’s sure to move you. And it will be—pardon the pun—an absolute blast.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE

WORLD PREMIERE FANFARE
You don’t announce a cavalry charge with a string quartet, and no Dallas Winds concert begins without a fantastic world-premiere fanfare written just for us. You’ll join the rest of the audience in the majestic Meyerson lobby for this beloved pre-show ritual. No other band in the country does it.
THE CONCERT: DIG IN!
All that was just the appetizer. Now for the main course: The Dallas Winds, live on stage in one of the world’s premier concert halls. And like any great meal, there will be things you love, things you might not, and brand new flavors you never knew you liked. But we never skip dessert: Every concert ends with a rousing march by John Philip Sousa, the band world’s version of a true rock star. Go ahead, clap along. JPS would be proud.
