WINDNOTES WITH PROFESSOR CAROL

Part history lesson, part impassioned sermon, Windnotes with Professor Carol is definitely not your typical dry pre-concert lecture. Professor Carol Reynolds, renowned music historian and one-woman encyclopedia of musicology, will add to your experience with historical tidbits, music theory, and juicy behind-the-scenes dirt on that evening’s featured pieces and composers. She might even bring homemade cupcakes.

You won’t hear any trend-chasing, bubblegum-ballpark interpretations of our national anthem here. We begin every concert with The Star-Spangled Banner the way it was meant to be played: A rousing, rip-roaring sing-along with the greatest band in the good ol’ U-S-of-A.
