Jason K. Fettig, Guest Conductor

Jason K. Fettig is the Director of Bands and a professor of conducting at the University of Michigan, an internationally recognized conductor of wind band and orchestra and a highly sought-after educator and clinician. Performances under his baton have occurred in forty-nine U.S. states as well as Japan, the Czech Republic, Austria and The Netherlands, and live concerts have been regularly heard on National Public Radio’s “Performance Today,” and on national television broadcasts from the White House, on “The Today Show,” the “David Letterman Show” on PBS, NBC and CBS. He has worked with an incredibly wide array of artists from across the entire musical spectrum, from internationally renowned classical artists such as pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, violinist Joshua Bell, and the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, Broadway luminaries Norm Lewis, Jessica Vosk, and Lea Salonga, to pop superstars including Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Lady Gaga.

Fettig served as the 28th Director of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band and Chamber Orchestra, where he was the music adviser to the White House and regularly conducted the Marine Band and Marine Chamber Orchestra at the Executive Mansion. He led the musical program for the Inaugurations of President Donald Trump and President Joseph Biden and the State Funeral of George H.W. Bush. He also served as music director of Washington, D.C.’s historic Gridiron Club, a position held by every Marine Band Director since John Philip Sousa.

Grant Jameson, Euphonium

Grant Jameson has been principal euphonium for the Dallas Winds since 2022. He is also conductor of the Dallas Brass Band, and currently a DMA candidate and teaching fellow and the University of North Texas. Grant holds Bachelor of Music and Masters degrees from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff (UK) where he studied with David Childs. He has won numerous contests and awards as a soloist and as a member of several of Britain’s top brass bands. He has released two solo albums and has been featured on TV and radio broadcasts on BBC and NPR.

Molly Searcy, Narrator

Molly Searcy is a member of the Dallas Theater Center’s Diane and Hal Brierly Resident Acting Company, where her credits include: Cake Ladies (Keith/Keisha); The Sound of Music (nun, Grand Waltz pas de deux); Our Town (Mrs. Soames); A Christmas Carol (Christmas Past/Sister-in-Law); Working: A Musical (Dolores the Waitress); The Wolves (#11); Something Grim(m); In the Bleak Midwinter: A Christmas Carol for Out Time; and Frankenstein. Local/Regional appearances include: Undermain Theatre; Second Thought Theatre; Alley Theatre; Arena Stage; Stages Repertory Theatre; Houston Symphony; Main Street Theater; 4th Wall Theatre Co.; Houston Grant Opera; and Unity Theatre. In addition to her work in the theatre, Molly is a voice over artist for Microsoft, Crunchyroll, Sentai Filmworks, and Sound Cadence Studios. Her work in anime allows her to travel both nationally and internationally as a frequent guest of anime conventions. Molly earned her MFA from Southern Methodist University and is represented by Mary Collins Agency.
